7 The Earthly And Temporary Covenants: Two Elect Peoples And The Noahic Covenant
I’d like to welcome you back for another study in the Word of God. We're going to continue our subject on the earthly and temporary covenants. I’d like to begin by reviewing with you what we have thus far been looking at on the topic of biblical covenants. I believe the biblical covenants can be arranged under one of two categories. First, there's the two spiritual and perpetual covenants—that of Redemption and Works. And second, there's the four earthly and temporary covenants—that of the Noahic, Abrahamic, Mosaic and Davidic. Then, of course, there's something called the New Covenant. I don't believe the New Covenant is an actual covenant. Rather, I believe it's an explanation to the Jewish people as a nation of the Covenant of…

6 The Earthly And Temporary Covenants: The Incarnation Of Christ
I’d like to welcome you back for another study in the Word of God. We're going to be continuing a little series of studies on the biblical covenants, and this will be the second part, looking at the earthly and temporary covenants. But just to place you in remembrance of what we've been looking at in general. I believe the major covenants of the Bible can be placed under two categories. The first of these is what we could call the two spiritual and perpetual covenants—that would be the Covenant of Redemption and the Covenant of Works. And then the second of these would be the four earthly and temporary covenants—and that would be the Noahic Covenant, the Abrahamic Covenant, the Mosaic Covenant and the Davidic…

5 The Earthly And Temporary Covenants: The Promise Of The Coming Messiah
I’d like to welcome you back for another study in the Word of God. In our previous studies, I've been speaking to you about the biblical covenants and how they're arranged. Allow me to show you a little review of what we've looked at in the previous studies. The Arrangement Of The Biblical Covenants I believe the biblical covenants should be divided into two categories. The first category is the spiritual and perpetual covenants, and there's two of them—there's the Covenant of Redemption and the Covenant of Works. The second category is what could be identified as the earthly and temporary covenants, and there's four of these—the covenant God made with Noah, Abraham, Moses and David. And then of course, there is what the scriptures…

4 The Spiritual And Perpetual Covenants—Redemption And Works
I’d like to welcome you back for another study in the Word of God. You have your Bible available, I’d like to ask you to open to Amos chapter 3. While you're turning there, let me just make reference to our previous study. I mentioned in the previous study that I might return to the subject of covenants, and in particular, to speak about the number of covenants mentioned in the Old and New Testament scriptures, and how they're arranged. And that's precisely what I've chosen to do for this study. The Definition And Nature Of A Covenant How are the Bible covenants arranged? For an opening text, I've asked you to look at Amos chapter 3, and I'm going to be reading for you…

2 Examples Of The Gospel Law
I’d like to welcome you back for another study in the Word of God. In our previous study, I tried to answer the question—What Is The Gospel Law? In a nutshell, I believe the gospel law is a living union—the living union of the soul with the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, at the close of last week's study, I mentioned that I wanted to share with you some examples of the gospel law from the Bible, but I realized after I finish last week's teaching, that I failed to tie together two loose ends. So, before we look at some examples, I’d like to review with you the diagram that I presented to you last time. I call it the Framework of Sovereign Grace. And…
