Signposts For Your Journey Through The Bible: Part 27
Some of the points covered in this sermon:
• A preview is given of the last thirty books of the Old Testament—1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, Psalms, 1 Kings, 1 Chronicles, Song of Solomon, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, 2 Kings, 2 Chronicles, Jonah, Amos, Hosea, Joel, Isaiah, Micah, Nahum, Zephaniah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Habakkuk, Daniel, Ezekiel, Obadiah, Ezra, Esther, Nehemiah, Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi
• These books fit into three time periods—(1) The United Kingdom Of Israel; (2) The Divided Kingdom Of Israel; (3) The Exile And Return Of Judah
• The books set forth the same masterplan of God for the ages, as the first nine books of the Old Testament—God is dispensing (administering) a common grace unto creation towards all His creatures, and a special grace unto salvation towards His elect people
• With an explanation given of this view in the previous study, several passages of scriptures are set forth in this study in evidence of and support for the teaching on God’s masterplan for the ages
